There is a common misconception that if your wedding venue provides a venue coordinator, then you do not need to hire you own wedding coordinator.
A venue coordinator is the NOT the same as a wedding coordinator.
Wedding coordinators (or wedding planners, wedding managers, day-of coordinators, etc.) are there to coordinate the wedding. Unlike venue coordinators, who work for the venue, wedding coordinators work for the wedding couple. Having your own independent wedding coordinator on your team means that you have someone dedicated to you. They will be there to work with you and your entire team for all key events of the day.
